- Pro — core small-business accounting for 1–5 users.
- Premier — everything in Pro, plus Inventory Centre, sales/purchase orders, price lists, bill of materials and industry-specific reports.
- Accountant — everything in Premier, plus batch transaction entry, two companies open at once, Accountant Centre and up to 30 simultaneous users.

6FAQ6: Do I have to install QuickBooks myself?▸

7FAQ7: How do I know if my QuickBooks has a Genuine licence?▸
Genuine licences come with a unique licence and product number registered to your company name on the Intuit servers. We are the official QuickBooks reseller in Mauritius — every licence we issue is genuine and registered to you. If in doubt, send us your licence number and we'll verify it.
8FAQ8: I have an old version of QuickBooks. Can I upgrade it and keep my data?▸
Yes — your company file can be upgraded to the latest version without losing any historical data. We back up your current file, perform the upgrade, validate balances and hand it back ready to use. Talk to us before upgrading.
9FAQ9: Do you offer QuickBooks Online?▸
Yes. QuickBooks Online is cloud-based, multi-device and multi-user. We handle subscription, data migration from Desktop, training and ongoing support.
10FAQ10: What should I choose: QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online?▸
Choose Desktop if you want a one-off purchase, work mostly from one office and need heavy inventory or batch features. Choose Online if you want access from anywhere, automatic backups, bank feeds and easy multi-user collaboration. Note that Intuit ended Desktop services after May 31, 2024 — most new customers now go with QBO.
11FAQ11: Do you provide QuickBooks to countries other than Mauritius?▸
Our primary territory is Mauritius. For neighbouring African and Indian Ocean countries, contact us — we can advise on the best licensing path through Intuit's regional channels.
12FAQ12: If I update my QuickBooks 2016, will it change to QuickBooks 2018?▸
No. Updates within the same version (e.g. 2016 R1 → R12) install patches and bug fixes but do not change your edition or year. Moving from QuickBooks 2016 to 2018 (or to 2024) is an upgrade, which requires a new licence and a file conversion. We handle the full upgrade safely.
13FAQ13: How do I update my QuickBooks?▸
Open QuickBooks → Help → Update QuickBooks Desktop → Update Now → tick all updates → Get Updates. Restart QuickBooks when prompted and accept the installation of the patch. If you run into errors, WhatsApp us and we'll guide you through it.
14FAQ14: How do I safeguard my QuickBooks Data?▸
- Run a local backup at the end of every working day.
- Keep an off-site copy on an external drive or cloud storage.
- Set strong passwords and a separate user for each team member.
- Verify and rebuild the file monthly (File → Utilities → Verify Data).
- Keep antivirus and Windows updates current.
15FAQ15: How often do I have to back up my QuickBooks data?▸
At minimum, once a day at end of business — and always before installing updates, upgrading versions or doing year-end closing. QuickBooks can be configured to schedule automatic backups; we set this up during installation.
16FAQ16: I do not know Accounting. Will I be able to use QuickBooks?▸
